Texas Lieutenant Governor proposes to reserve Bitcoin for 2025

The Lieutenant -General Dan Patrick’s Texas Governor announced plans to establish a “Texas Bitcoin reserves” as part of his best legislative priorities for the 2025 session.

Texas saw the tensions between the crypts of miners and the Government, prominently by the recent lawsuit of the mining company Lejilex, against SEC over the cryptocurrency regulation and classification of token.

Texas is not alone in his efforts. In Arizona, the Senate Finance Committee recently approved the SB1025, also known as the “Arizona Strategic Batcoin Reserve Act”. The proposal of the Law, sponsored by State Senator Wendy Rogers and MP Jeff Weninger, would enable the state to invest up to 10% of its public funds-by pointing state treasury and Bitcoin pension and other digital assets.

With 5-2 votes in Arizona, the bill is now transferred to the Committee on the Senate rules before referring to a vote in the complete Senate.

If passed, Arizona would join Texas in positioning Bitcoin as strategic financial assets at the state level. These moves reflect a growing trend among US countries who want to integrate a cryptocurrency currency into their financial frameworks.
