FTX founders Sam Bankman-Fied explore Avenue to ensure a presidential pardon for their son from President Donald Trump.
Bankman-Fied was sentenced to 25 years in prison last year after being convicted of fraud.
Pardon for the Bankman-fried itself
FTX founders Sam Bankman-Fied are allegedly seeking a presidential pardon from President Donald Trump. Professors of the Faculty of Law at Stanford Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried have talked to lawyers and individuals close to Trump and his inner circle in recent weeks. However, it is unclear whether they have made contact with the White House so far.

Bankman-Fried lawyers have already appealed against his condemnation in 2023 regarding the collapse of FTX. FTX collapse is one of the greatest in the history of the crypto space. Bankman-Fried condemned the jury seven points of fraud. The fees include the theft of customers’ assets while launching FTX -Ai deceiving creditors and exchanges investors. Bankman-fried and collapse FTX led to a loss of $ 8 billion in customers assets.
Trump and pardons
Donald Trump used the presidential pardon to several notable figures from cryptocurrencies. The most prominent pardon was Ross Ulbricht, founder of Silk Road Marketplace. Frequent use of the presidential pardon has led to an increase in criminals with white collar. However, while Ulbricht enjoyed wide support, there was little or no support for the champion in banks. The FTX founder retained his innocence and claimed that the 25-year sentence was sharp because many FTX customers have returned their funds. Bankman-Fied himself serves his sentence at the Metropolitan Center in Brooklyn, New York. His parents have not yet commented on the reports.
Jeffrey Grant, a legal advisor for accused white collar, pointed out an increase in pardon -related inquiries, stating, stating,
“We have heard from people in prison, recently convicted people who have not yet applied to the Prison Institute, from people who are just charged. They are looking for someone who knows someone.”
Another former FTX CEO, Ryan Salame, also expressed interest in the presidential pardon. The salami supports a seven -year punishment. Mangel himself, a white -collar consultant who worked on Clemency’s requests for Peter Navarra and Steve Bannon, also reported on the rise in cases of Chomency.
